  1. This is a great series. I miss baked goods and have never tried these swaps before. Do you ever make granola? I'm always trying to figure out how to make it lower points.

  2. THAT is such great info!! Do you ever get a "chewy" texture from subbing bananas or applesauce for fats? Is there a solution for that? Also I find when I sub fruit for fat the baked item is not as light. ??

  3. Loved these swaps, I was going to make muffins…the boxed kind for a quick grab n go breakfast for the family, and I think I will try it with some of these swaps!! I will let you know how they turn out!! But first I need to make room in my freezer because I usually freeze them and we take them out the night before, so they don't go stale or we feel we need to hurry and eat them, ya know!

  4. I def. need to play around with ingredients more, but I recently just made a food swap or is it? I made avocado chocolate pudding and it was soooo good. I wanted something healthier and more filling than Jello brand and I wasn't sure if it would compete with my tastebuds but it did! 🙂

  5. You mentioned using nut milks in pudding – do you make homemade pudding, or is it like Jello pudding? I read on the box to not use nut milk, because it doesn't set up, but I wish I could. How did it work for you? I would really rather use a nut milk rather than dairy because, milk doesn't always like me….

  6. Great ideas. I'm formulating a new chocolate chip cookie recipe as we speak, and these are great ideas. A few things:
    1: couldn't help but notice that Riley flipped onto his back! Gracie flat out refuses to lay on her back like that. Has he always done that?
    2: unsweetened vanilla flavored cashew milk does in fact exist. I can't remember if it's almond breeze or silk, but it's currently in my fridge.
    3: canned pumpkin is one of my all-time favorite food swaps. It makes things so moist and delicious, it is a great butter replacement

  7. TFS! Silk makes an unsweetened vanilla cashew milk that I think is delicious! I love to use applesauce in recipes for oil/butter. Your little dog in background is too cute laying on back. 😆
